While writing the Worst case, I think for a similarity or a point of semantics, I grant to mind the expression One Best Way. This expression means "the best way" (to do something, implied). The best way is the only and is the son of Taylorism. One Best Way is the perfect solution for engineers. Disassembling, measuring, reassembles the production process in the best possible performance of all steps. This will rule out surprises. Or you think you have them excluded. It prepares the advent of the Black Swan, and as such is, indeed, unexpected.
